Maggie Cope is among numerous members of the elderly community angered at the seats' removal

ST HELENS Council has underlined that the decision to remove the seating area in the Hardshaw Centre is outside of its control. The Star reported last week how the axing of benches in the shopping centre had led outburst of complaints, especially among the elderly community.
